On These Days…

WORLD HISTORY:

  1. Students completed the Artifact/Trend Chart #1 using evidence from the packet and video notes. Students used their collected evidence to produce a mind map of the culture of the postwar America.
  2. Students began the second unit of World History by preparing for an archaeological “dig” at the Border Cave in South Africa. For the next few days students reviewed the basic of the Stone Age and principles of archaeology.
  3. Students read the article: “Early Human Culture” to prepare themselves for the artifacts they study at their first official “dig”.
    1. This assignment comes with a code & highlight analysis.
  4. Next is the race paragraph, to begin once the article is completed and analyzed.
  5. These assignments can be found at the main menu under “World History” under “Unit Two”.

WORLD STUDIES:

  1. 4.4 is PAST DUE (If this is the station they are working on it will be their last and will need to move on to chapter 5.)

HISTORY OF SCIENCE FICTION:

  1. Classical Age: Roman Empire is PAST DUE
  2. Classical Age: Life in Rome is PAST DUE
  3. Classical Age: “True History” is PAST DUE
  4. Middle Ages: Characteristics is PAST DUE
  5. Middle Ages: Life in the Middle Ages is PAST DUE
  6. Middle Ages: “Beowulf” is PAST DUE
  7. Several students are completing the timeline of the Bronze Age, Classical Age and Middle Ages, which is a learning extension assignment.
  8. NEXT PROJECT: The Renaissance, which introduces the Scientific Age of Fiction, our next big unit. This is ready for students and is uploaded in our main menu.
