WORLD HISTORY:

  1. Process of Discovery (pt 2)
    1. Students are to complete the See-Wonder-Think-Sketch handout (front and back) for 6 artifacts from the packet of 41 artifacts.
    2. Students are to complete a regular See-Wonder-Think in their notebooks for the remaining 35 artifacts.
    3. Both are due 2.1.17, end of class.
    4. Students will fill out their Artifact/Trend Chart #1
    5. Students will watch the documentary “The 50s” and complete the video note assignment.
    6. Evidence from the video will be entered into the Artifact/Trend Chart #1.

WORLD STUDIES:

  1. 4.3 is PAST DUE but still need to be completed.
  2. 4.4 is PAST DUE
  3. 4.5 is TBA
  4. 4.6 is TBA

  1. Classical Age: Roman Empire is PAST DUE

      1. Students can choose option a or option b

  1. 4.1 – 4.3 are overdue but still need to be completed.
  2. 4.4 is due 1.26.17 (PAST DUE)
  3. 4.5 is due 1.31.17 (next Tuesday)

On This Day…

WORLD HISTORY:

  1. We discussed/reviewed the Process of Discovery.
  2. You can find part 1 of the PDF for this unit in the main menu above under World History.
  3. We stopped with the handout of three toy guns from the 1950s and will review and resume from there tomorrow.

 

WORLD STUDIES:

  1. We pressed on, discussing 4.3. Turning in some late work which can only be accepted before noon 1.24.17 (tomorrow.)
  2. We will focus on completing chapter 4.4, 4.5, & 4.6 by next Friday 2.3.17.

 

HISTORY OF SCIENCE FICTION:

We discussed the Bronze Age, Sumerians and Gilgamesh and how all three tied together, including its very loose connection to science fiction.

This is the end of the second grading period. We are soon halfway through the school year.

WA STATE HISTORY:

By the end of the week, 1.20.17, all five stations of exploration must be complete. No late work will be accepted. These assignments and their deadlines have been posted here and discussed each day of each week since Halloween. (New students in January are not held accountable for these deadlines and are assessed on an individual basis.)

On Monday, 1.23.17, World History will be begin.

WORLD STUDIES (REVISED):

We are attempting to complete our chapter four scientific research project on the Great Lakes. Our goal for the end of the grading period is to complete stations 4.1 – 4.3 by 1.20.17. The remaining stations (4.4 – 4.6) will be completed during the new grading period starting 1.23.17. Our goal is to have the remaining stations completed by 2.3.17 so we can all begin together our Urban Planning & Development Project the first full week of February.


THE HISTORY OF SCIENCE FICTION:

Our Bronze Age station is due no later than 1.20.17. Missing work will be reflected on the report card. (New students in January are not held accountable for these deadlines and are assessed on an individual basis.)
