We did a group activity, learning how to adapt as a group to a new environment (tools, clothing & shelter), much the way the native Americans did when migrating to the North and South American continents. We presented our findings to the class and received participation points.
We reviewed sections 1.1 & 1.2 from the reading and how it helps explain chapter one’s essential question. We used the facts collected from the readings to help us in our discussion. We followed this up with a discussion of the vocabulary homework assignment and how these words help us understand more about maps. The homework assignment was handed in.
